One of the most common excuses that people make… One of the most common excuses that people make…

…is saying they couldn’t eat healthily because they were traveling.

Here are 4 apps you can download to check out the restaurants at the airport before you arrive.

☑️ Download an app
☑️ Look up your gate
☑️ Find a healthy food option near your gate (or far away if you have time to get some steps in at the airport)
☑️ Order and eat
☑️ Smile because you just eliminated your excuses

One of the apps, #grabapp, allows you to order ahead of time and pick your food up without standing in line.

You can find healthy food everywhere. Find ways to make it more convenient to make the right decision.

If you’re anything like us, going to a restauran If you’re anything like us, going to a restaurant can be stressful when you’re trying to lose weight.

Here are 5 tips that you can practice this weekend when you head out for date night, Girl’s Night Out, or any time!

1️⃣ Order sauces and dressings on the side so you can decide how much to use on your food, not the restaurant.

2️⃣ Order your protein grilled or broiled instead of fried or sautéed. You’ll save lots of calories.

3️⃣ Look at the menu online before you get to the restaurant so you know what you’re ordering before you show up. Go online when you’re not hungry.

4️⃣ Don’t drink alcohol or cut back on the amount that you usually drink.

5️⃣ Order your own food, instead of sharing, so you have complete ownership of what you eat.

Don’t eat the same old food if you want to lose Don’t eat the same old food if you want to lose weight.

Losing weight doesn’t have to be miserable.

Losing weight doesn’t have to mean eating bland food that’s tasteless.

Losing weight doesn’t mean you have to go hungry to lose weight.

One of the best ways to stay motivated, and dare I say, excited, is to find and eat some new foods that you’ve never tried before. You never know what foods are out there that will make dieting suck less.

What’s a new food you’ve tried recently that you didn’t know about a year ago? 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

If you think cooking is hard, read this! Back whe If you think cooking is hard, read this!

Back when I was in college, I tried cooking a meal for my boyfriend. It was horrible. I added lots of sugar to marinade shrimp. I mean, maybe a cup of sugar! 😱

My boyfriend also invited his brother who was a trained chef (he graduated from The Culinary Institute of America).I was mortified because the meal was horrible.

Since then, I’ve done quite a bit more cooking which has made me a much better cook. It takes time, patience, practice, and the desire to improve your cooking skills.

What I’ve learned over many years, is that it doesn’t have to be difficult. You don’t need to spend lots of time or follow an elaborate recipe that has 10-20 ingredients.

Here’s what I did this morning to cook some chicken breasts to have on hand for the next few days:

1️⃣ I Googled “How to cook bone-in chicken breasts in an Instapot
2️⃣ I added salt and pepper to the chicken, place them in the Instapot, and added some sugar-free BBQ sauce
3️⃣ I set the timer for 35 minutes and walked away

💅Done.

From a study looking at weight trends in those who prepare more meals at home found that those who cook at home more than 5x/week, compared with less than 3x/week were 28% less likely to have an overweight and 24% less likely to have excess percentage body fat. 💥

Prepare more meals at home = more successful weight loss and improved health!
