️⃣ Nutrition changes require lifestyle changes. These two are tangled together in a beautiful, chaotic mess no matter how much you want to separate them.
️⃣ Weight loss (or muscle gain) will always take longer than you want it to. For whatever reason (I blame social media) we have unrealistic exceptions of losing 30 lbs in 30 days and keeping it off forever! Set your own expectations and do not compare your progress to others.
️⃣ If you can’t sustain your dietary and habit changes, you will find yourself stuck in the endless loop of failure destined to repeat the same mistakes over and over.
️⃣ Some people will support you, most will question you. The ones worth keeping in your “bubble” are the ones who help keep you accountable to your goals. There will be others who wonder why you chose to get more sleep instead of going out, why you don’t want to finish the bottle of wine, or why you ordered a side of vegetables instead of fries. They’ll make fun or question you choices because of issues THEY have. It has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them.
️⃣ Change is UNCOMFORTABLE. If you are uncomfortable, you’re doing something right. You are worth the change you’re seeking.
